Just picked up a 2013 Nexus 7 and must say I am eating my words.

The 2013 version is fast, has a beautiful screen and the I find build quality and cosmetic appearance much better than the last version.

What a deal for the price! Only issue I have experienced out of the box is a Google keyboard has stopped working error. It updated the keyboard and I still got it, just went in and cleared keyboard cache and so far so good. Literally got the error out of box, wasn't the coolest but looks to be fixed. :-)

Apparently none actually. When I first looked at the Nexus 7 I in store experienced some of the multi-touch issues many others have reported and stated that this tablet would not be for me and that I would be staying away from it.

I let it be for some time and then yesterday took a look at it in store again and was really impressed with the physical build. I experienced no multi-touch issues on the unit this time around and opt to buy but.....

I have actually decided to return my unit.

Since owning it (less than 24 hours) I have experienced screen locks, Google keyboard errors and late last night some screen flickering at the top of the Chrome browser when entering in searches. I searched about the flickering issue and no matter how high or low the brightness was, or whether I had auto brightness on/off the flickering right up by the search bar in Google was flickering.

I am not going to roll the dice on this and return it while I can. Three issues basically out of the box. May look at a Nexus tablet again down the right but there are clearly issues that need to be sorted out that haven't been yet.

And yes - I did do the latest update :) It was downloaded during my setup yesterday.
