Nexus 7 LTE on Verizon - any updates?

Has anyone heard any new information on when Verizon users will be able to activate on the Verizon network?

I have never seen an official announcement that VZW would register a Nexus 7 2013. Last thing I saw was a vague statement of some sort of unspecified software issue..

Verizon will not allow activation claiming they are still in the process of certifying the Nexus for their network.

I was hoping they had completed their certification process and someone knew about it.
