Nexus 7 - Marshmallow and Kindle App not working

I bought a Nexus 7 (2013) used and it had been flashed with a Cyanogen rom, so I flashed it back to stock Android 6, right off Google website. All is good except Kindle app will not run. Gets stuck on launch screen. Everything else runs perfectly. Anybody else having trouble with Kindle? Did uninstall and reinstall.

I have it on my 2013 N7 under 6.0 and am not having any problems (300+ books loaded). I loaded 6.0 over previously-rooted 5.1.1 using Nexus Root Toolkit (no data wipe).

Can you sign in? I did OTA to 6.0 but Kindle keeps telling my password is in error.

My bad, I used Lastpass to copy the password and now I am in. I must have been getting one of the letters wrong (1 and I and l sure look alike).
