Nexus 7 vs. Ipod Predicament

Hey everyone, im in quite the predicament right now. for Christmas, i asked for a nexus 7 32gb. my parents said yes because ive been exceptional academically. my reason was that my iPod, which i use for internet browsing, is starting to break down. so recently they told me to just get a new iPod instead. even though it is more expensive, slower, smaller, and less customizable. any advice on how to convince them to get a nexus 7 instead. ive never had an android before and really want one and the kicker is that my dad hates apple, but suggested an iPod instead :'(. any help is appreciated

you dont have to convince them. just tell them you like nexus 7 better than the ipod.
if your parnets are buying you a gift it should be what you like and not what they think you will like.

just tell them you dont need an expensive toy and want to save some money for them. also tell them nexus 7 is made by google.

With that last thing being said, using it as a "porn portal" is now an invalid point

Just tell them you want the tablet, and if you still get the iPod - don't open it and sell it on eBay as new. Or look for the receit and return it

If this doesn't work, nothing will:

Type up everything, all the reasons why you should get a Nexus 7 over an iPod, why you want a Nexus 7 rather than the iPod. Print this document out.

Hand it to your parents. This way they have a solid, hard copy of your entire argument and thoughts. They won't forget anything, as it's all written down. They can't interrupt a sheet of paper. It would be extremely rude if they don't read the whole thing.

Once they have read it, they will now be able to see and understand your thoughts regarding this issue.
