Nexus 8 to Feature 4GB RAM?

Are carriers getting a little over zealous with RAM? My Galaxy S4 handled tasks fine with 2GB and my LG G3 with 3GB RAM is more than enough.

Carriers don't have anything to do with RAM. And I highly doubt that the Nexus 8 is going to have 4gb of RAM.

Articles are saying a "probable 4GB RAM" design. And I didn't mention anything about manufacturers or carriers.
