That is a decision only you can make. No matter what you buy, no matter when you buy it, something better will be coming out soon thereafter. I went ahead and bought a Nexus 2 weeks ago. The form factor is a huge improvement over the Thunderbolt brick I was carrying, so to me it was worth it. But I have never filled the memory of a phone and only take simple pictures for emailing to friends, so the things you mention are not a big deal to me. The next set of phone will likely have quad core, but I don't care about that either as dual has more than enough power for anything I'm doing. My gut tells me the next BIG advance will be VoLTE and that is still roughly a year from now, so I didn't want to wait for that and just accept that when it arrives roughly half way into my two year contract, I might just have to pay full freight for that upgrade.

Definitely getting the GNex on Sprint, then add a line to get the SGS3......I can't wait.
I am missing something when people say they would add a line to get another phone. How would that work? Wouldn't you pay for that line each month in addition and have a different phone number for it? How is that a good thing? Is it just to not use it, but then switch phones on your regular line? Sorry, this topic never quite makes sense to me.
1st phone (GNex) would go to my go to my wife, or son when the SGS3 comes out. I'm not THAT important to where I need to have two phones to myself, and with that being said, I don't have hundreds of people that I call or that call me, so having a new number is no problem for me.
You can originally sign up for an individual plan and add a line later on for probably $9.99 monthly fee added to my normal service plan plus the cost of the new phone you are getting.
It is an extra $10 + an extra $30 for the 4G data plan, so it is $40 per month.Ok, so the number change wouldn't worry you, but an extra $10 per month plus the phone cost adds up pretty quickly, no? That is basically paying full price for the phone over the term. I'm just surprised that seems like a good idea to some people.
