Nexus MEID issue

ok, so i have this nexus s that was given to me. No real loss in screwing something up, its all backed up via titanium anyway. But the issue is the MEID is all 0's in the view system status, the sprint store said they wouldnt do anything to activate the device or anything because they couldnt varify its ID number to see if it was flagged or not. Any chance i could fix this issue or is it a total loss?
