Nexus not coming back on

Hey guys,

So for awhile now every so often my Nexus doesn't come back on either by fingerprint or the power button. But today I've had to do it several times. It's getting frustrating. Anyone else ever see this and or know of a work around?

Just to be clear, you're saying that the screen doesn't turn on when it's been asleep?

Do you have screen lock (PIN, pattern, password, fingerprint) enabled?

Does it do this if you're running in Safe mode?

Ive never booted into safe mode. So can't answer that question.

And, it happened again after my original post, minutes ago. Fourth or fifth time in the last couple of hours

I'd suggest booting into Safe mode and see if the problem reoccurs - if it doesn't then there's likely a 3rd party application causing your problem.

Thanks. May have found the culprit....hopefully. I switched yesterday from gboard back to SwiftKey. Then just a bit ago I was typing a text message and while the screen was on this time it locked up on me. So I rebooted and now switched back to gboard. See what happens now. Thanks
