Nexus, or wait for Tegra3?

Rezound is same as evo 3d/sensation which was out months ago, razr is nothing special. Clearly you haven't been with verizon long. Last to get original sgs, the thunderbolt was pretty much a rebranded evo months later just to name a few.

Clearly you don't know squat about how long I have been with Verizon. But it started back in TN around 2003 or 2004, then progressed to MI and now out west. But I will admit to not being a brain dead android phone zombie. I only come here to find out info on new phones, and lately getting a kick out of all the so-called late release threads, and all the assumptions by those who know it all, when they don't know squat.

As for the phones let's do some comparisons (had to look these up since I do not qualify as an Android zombie)

EVO 3G has a 4.3" WVGA (800?480), Sensation has a 540 x 960 pixels, 4.3 inches, the Rezound has a 720x1280 HD screen

EVO 3G has a 1Ghz processor, Sensation has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, the Rezound has a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor

EVO 3G has 512MB RAM memory, Sensation has 768MB RAM, the Rezound has 1GB RAM.

They have the same type of plastic body so I guess that makes them the same.

Using your reasoning, the Nexus is only a Fascinate with a larger screen, more RAM and different software and the Rezound is only a beefed up Dinc2.

As for the Razr, the quality of the build materials vs, the plastic phones is rather refreshing and the specs aren't all that bad.

Verizon has a crazy long return period right now, so you could try out the Nexus. If you don't like it, return it before the return period is over, then hang out for the Tegra 3 devices to start hitting.

An online verizon rep told me today that if you buy a phone online with them that you only have 14 days to return your phone. I told him I thought it was extended until Jan and he told me to hold on while he asked and he came back and said that was only if you bought a phone from a Verizon store....does anyone know if this is true. Online with verizon it doesn't specify that.

Clearly reading isn't your strong point I never once said anything about the Evo it is 4g not 3g btw. I was talking about Evo 3d, you know dual core 1 gb ram.

I emailed verizon about this and they did not say anything about needing to buy in store and I have an email to prove it if I decide I want to go that route, but am holding off for now.

It also runs each core at 300mhz less (which makes a difference), has an older version of sense, and has a qHD screen that is saddled with an extra 3D layer. They are not the same phone.

I have said it before and I'll say it again: you will not see much, if any, real world benifit with the Tegra 3. It still uses cortex a9 cousin so per core performance will be no better then what is already available and there is no software on android that will let those extra cores stretch their legs.

I would not even think of new silicon until we see 28nm chips with cortex a15 cpus late next year.

same processor( whether clocked lower or not) yes the screen is different but other than that they both have 1gb ram, sense 3.0 isn't that much different than 3.5 But maybe to you that makes it a completely different phone since they only share a few things....

i think that if you are having doubts about getting the nexus, you should just wait for the next great thing. as for me, i am totally content with the specs and reviews of the nexus, that tegra3 and all the future "superphones" aren't as enticing
