Nexel would have been a good name. Google Nexel. Yes. Nexel it is then.

That would sound a bit like Nextel. But would it chirp?

I'm not familiar with Nextel. I was in fact inspired by the Zeiss Ikon Super Nettel, a sort of hybrid, from my camera enthusiast days.

Nextel was a US carrier that has a walkie-talkie type of feature called push to talk and was popular especially with construction trades. The "chirp" was an annoying but very distinctive sound that those phones made.
