Nexus Player and Google Music

First day with the Nexus Player.

While playing music via the Google Music app, a full screen image of the artist stays on the screen. It's not replaced with an album cover view showing elapsed time. There's no option for Daydream to show... Nothing. Just a full screen static image. Seems inelegant... Unfinished. The much cheaper Chromecast does it better.

Please tell me I'm missing something?

Nope, it's like that. For artist radio and some other instance I think. Otherwise it is album covers. Daydream usually kicks in after awhile showing the images you've selected for it.
