A anon(847090) Well-known member Jul 8, 2012 6,655 31 0 Dec 3, 2012 #2 apps uses RAM too. so the RAm used is whole system and not just the OS. unused RAM is wasted RAM. Last edited: Dec 4, 2012

A anon(847090) Well-known member Jul 8, 2012 6,655 31 0 Dec 4, 2012 #7 even if it says 1 Gb RAM it wont be having 1024 mb. it will be less just like hard disk when you buy a 120 gb the formatted would be a less. so 700 free sounds about right. like mentioned above starting with ICS Android manages RAM and memory better.
