Nexus S 4.0.3 - MMS doesn't work

I recently manually updated my T-Mobile Nexus S to ICS and noticed that my battery wasn't lasting nearly as long as it was on Gingerbread. I looked at my battery setting and noticed Messaging was over 38% of battery drain. Then I noticed friends were sending me MMS but it would say 'download' which I clicked on and it would just stay on 'downloading' until I touched the screen again and nothing would download.

Anybody else experiencing the same problem?

My battery is not lasting anywhere near what it used yo last when I was running gingerbread. Not sure why, haven't looked into it, buy I did have to charge it half way through the day.
