I recently got my trusty Nexus S 4G out of the box it had been sitting in since I got a new phone this past summer so that I could use it as a Gingerbread test device for app development. I plugged it in, using a Palm Pre charger and 3rd party cable (a configuration that has worked before and currently works with my HTC One and Nexus 7 2012) and left it overnight to charge. It apparently did not charge at all, as holding down the power button did not turn it on and unplugging and plugging back in did not show the charging animation that it used to show when charging and powered off. As far as I know, the battery in there should be fine (or at least it was the last time I used the NS4G). I tried a few tricks that have worked before when it had trouble powering on or charging, like popping the battery out and back in quickly while it is plugged in, but nothing got even a spark.
I am 100% stumped about how to bring my NS4G back. Anyone have any ideas?
