Guys I just want some opinions. I've posted this in evo 4g forum as well. I just upgraded from evo 4g to evo 3d, my wife has a nexus s. my father in law just left sprint (a 15 year customer. That tells you where Sprint is headed) for Verizon and picked up a Droid razr maxx. His Sprint phone was a og evo 4g which he offered to give to my wife (his daughter) for free. My wife wants to know what I think. She knows I had evo and ONLY complaint was battery life. My father in law has extended battery on evo so that won't be a problem for her. I told her she'd lose ics because evo isn't getting ota. She doesn't care. I explained value of nexus line in the sense of first for updates and pure google experience. She saw that when she got ics like 2 months ago and my evo didn't and my evo 3d is still waiting in Sprint to push it to us. What I'm saying is this, AND ANYBODY WHO'S MARRIED OUR HAS BEEN WITH YOUR OLD LADY FOR A MINUTE KNOWS WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY, I don't want her to Blame me for taking evo or passing on evo lol. So what I'm asking of you guys is opinions. Know anybody who had both? Have you used both? maybe your spouse has one? Android enthusiasts what do you think. What would you choose? I will say this: I'm using evo 3d and there ARE things I miss about og evo. That sucker was just so dependable. Even with ics about to drop any day and better hardware and battery I still miss evo sometimes. but I don't want her to upgrade based on my word. keep in mind my wife is not a rooter like me. Phone will stay stock where as I got evo 3d 2 fridays ago and rooted it that following Sunday lmao. She will have stock experience. (her father has convinced her that rooting is unsafe because of warranty voiding. me and him have debated this many a time. It helps that my wife obviously lives with me and has seen all I can do with my rooted phones) so weigh in please
