Nexus Support

Might be better to report most problems to google vs Samsung.

Hardware Samsung / software google; respectively I think google needs to be reading these forums.

Samsung isn't in charge of the software for this phone, so I'm not sure what they can do. Seems best to go directly to Google with issues.

Well it recognized my GN when I did the product registration. While it is a Google phone, Samsung is the manufacturer.

I called VZ which transferred me to Samsung. Samsung reports the issues to google.

They said I could call Google at 650-253-4000 which I have not tried yet.

If we want our issues fixed this is where to post them...

Samsung

I was informed that these forums are closely read by Samsung.

Thanks for this. Man, it's like stepping back in time - that is one ugly forum.

I have to say, for the Galaxy Nexus to supposedly be Google's 'flagship' phone, I'm very underwhelmed by the overall ownership experience. Kinda thought Google would have my back so to speak. Although it had some problems I couldn't live with, the overall ownership experience was better with my Droid Razr.

I'm honestly shocked that Google doesn't have a dedicated support forum for Android, especially for STOCK android. Imagine if Microsoft didn't have a forum for Windows and made you go to the pc manufacturer?

Thanks for the link. Not only is that another weak excuse for a forum, but they are retiring it.

Now they suggest that one:

"For other product-specific forums visit https://www.google.com/ and search for the name of the product and include the word [ forum ]"

Well, I've searched for Galaxy Nexus forum and it get a lot of third party results but nothing from google.

This forum is FAR better than anything they offer - but unfortunately they are not using this one and seeing our concerns.

Interesting comment. Because, actually the PC manufacture does have official software support responsibility for OEM Windows.

You got me there.

Nonetheless, doesn't change my original point/opinion that Google is sadly lacking a full-featured community for android users. It is branded as a 'Google' phone, after all.

That because that support is supposed to come from the manufacturers, not google.
