Nexus vs. Rezound, after months, which is more buggy?

I know this is a biased audience but I, like many, spent time deciding which phone to get. Several months have passed and where has the dust settled? My biggest bug complaint about the Rezound is the time zone issue - which isn't that big. I hear that NFC on the Nexus is far from a reality. I don't know where the Nexus stands in terms of bugs. Anyone know?

I don't consider battery life a bug. It's a global LTE problem.

As a Rezound owner, had 1 issue: Multitouch didn't work when gaming. I swapped it out and it's back to perfect. I don't know enough about the Nexus to elaborate.

from what i have read the radio signal problem still seems to be there on the gnex.

for the Rezound, the vla excessive battery drain is the only thing i can think of that seems to have lots of complaints.

for the rezound, there have been some individual phone issues ( i went through 2 full retail box replacements), but those are generally resolved by getting new phones. those with the gnex have gotten new phones, and many still reported the same radio issues.

fyi, you are comparing a currently $100 vs. $300 phone on contract (counting Verizon's current price on their website).

Battery is my only issue so far. I have an extended battery that I use when traveling which solves that issue. I have mainly been running the gingerbread Rez Rom and its running great. Go Launcher runs the best for me on this phone. But Sense isnt bad either.

I don't know much about the Nexus. I generally stay away from Samsung.

Just because the Rezound came down in price, doesn't mean you can't compare them. The Rezound was the price as the Gnex about a month ago. Also the specs on these 2 phone are almost the same. The Rezound is a high end phone no matter what the price of it is now.

That is true but I guess I am talking about people who adopted the Rezound early on, have had several months of experience and can now report on any bugs that have or are bothersome.

I also figure that a lot of people who are on this forum have knowledge about the Nexus and may know about the bugs that may exist on that phone. No phone is perfect but I know these two went up against each other early on.

Stay away from the nexus till the bugs are fixed. Radio is better on the rezound. The bad on the nexus is screeching noise on calls, dropped data in a weak 4g area, poor speaker, only a 5mp camera with one led flash. I went through the same thing and I'm getting the rezound on Friday. I've had good luck with htc for thr most part. Good luck with your choice.

I agree with NHBass39. The Nexus has far too many issues. Those poor Nexus owners really believe Google is going to come to their rescue and fix the many problems they experience. They've obviously never owned a Samsung device. I ditched my Nexus and haven't looked back.

My wife's Rezound has been rock solid. good luck.

For what its worth I have a nexus and yes there were issues .. until I rooted ... now its rock solid as well as beautiful to look at! Its all personal preference though, so go try one for yourself for the 14 days or whatever it is, see if you like it. If not, eat the restock fee and get something else.

This^ . Of course the nexus will have issues, its on a whole new os. Google do sent test the way apple or blackberry does. Mine has had hardly any issues. Just occasional reboots, bout once every week or two, and things lock up every once in a great while. I live, travel, and work in decent LTE so I do not experience any data issues. On a side note I hope HTC got gingerbread to work flawlessly, its only been out for a year.

The only issue I seem to be having is a force close on Navigation. It force closes when I type in a search, or when I flip the phone to view it in landscape mode. It's kinda pissing me off. This might be an issue with CleanROM GBE, though, not the phone itself.
I still admire ICS on the Nexus, but the signal issues on that are enough to drive me away. Some manufacturer needs to put out a 4.3 inch HD screen, slide out keyboard, stock ICS, and Moto Razr battery. To hell with being "slim and sleek."

This phone isn't that thick until the extended battery is added. I don't have any Navigation problems at all on the gb Rez Rom. Haven't tested it on stock. This phone is pretty flawless for me. Reminds me of my Inc2 but on steroids. When I hear that a Samsung has radio issues I put it out of my head forever because the captivate, charge and fascinates we had all had radio issues too.

Has anyone made any OS that worked flawlessly period, much less in a year?

No one should take this wrong but IMO, anything with nexus vs Rezound will be of limited usefulness due to personal biases and people taking up for their phone. There are plenty of threads to research.

I hate to burst your bubble but ICS is not the problem. It's the hardware.

I got the Rezound for $50 on upgrade back in November but was considering returning it for the Gnex. Once I saw all the radio problems, I decided it wasn't for me. I lived through the radio nightmare on the Thunderbolt with the MR1 update, and I don't want to live with another phone with radio problems, no matter how good the rest of the phone is since I live in an area of marginal LTE.

Restarts are annoying, but lock-ups, even once in a while, I can't stand since I use my phone as an alarm clock and calendar reminder. If it locks up, and I miss something, even once in a while, then I don't want to deal with a device like that, had similar problems on my Thunderbolt...

IMO, I would rather have an older OS but running well rather than the latest OS with problems, especially radio problems. I mainly do basic stuff on my phone, web browsing, music streaming, e-mail, so long as the phone does those things well with a solid radio and with a good screen, then I am happy.

Whatever it is I don't have reception issues. Guess I got one from a good batch. Never had a dropped call or complete data drops, except when Verizon loses data nationwide.

Guess I should have worded that better. GB should have a lot less issues than ICS as its been out for over a year. Most of the bugs should have been squashed by now.

Sure, you can compare them, my point being that people should take into account the current price as well when comparing phones, and at the current price, imo, the Rezound is a steal.
