nfc icon not in status bar after 1.31 update

When I first got the phone I noticed a nfc icon when it was enabled but after the recent update I don't see it anymore. I also tried to use nfc but it is not working even though it enabled under settings using Google wallet. Does anyone else have this issue?

Are you sure your phone is a Sprint version? I have had the Sprint version from day 1 and never had an NFC icon, before or after any of the updates.

The Sprint HTC ONE never had the nfc icon I don't think or atleast mine never had it. Are you sure you had nrc activated through the settings and not the Google wallet settings. I had some problems with it when I first got my one, I Didnt know it was around the camera and was just touching the back of 2 phones.

I do not notice any difference in performance or battery with the nfc enabled and thus leave it on at all times.

Nfc takes little to no power on mine. I can't even tell a difference, I forget its on all the time so I just leave it on
