Any info on how NFC works regarding ics to jb devices. I wanted to try it out since I've had my gnex for a while and never used it before. I have the vzw gnex on ics and I couldnt get anything to transfer. Is it the difference in os or because you can't NFC transfer to devices on the same google account ?

The account shouldn't make a difference.. I actually just tried it with my Galaxy Nexus to my Nexus 7 and got the beam to show up.. its a little tricky to find the NFC spot on the 7, I believe its the top left corner but I could be wrong, I had to slide them across each other a bit around the top before it showed up. Should mention the Gnex is running Jellybean as well but I don't think it should make a difference either.

Oh thanks ! From the back side top left corner just like you said. Worked perfectly once you find the spot :-D

Can we hide root on the Nexus 7 so we can use NFC. I get unsupport device because I'm unlocked and rooted.

It still works fine. That's just a disclaimer from Google letting you know they can't support wallet on a rooted device. Wallet and NFC work 100% though.

I tried Wallet at a gas station using my vzw hotspot but it seemed to hang up on authorization. I was wondering if vzw was blocking it somehow.

You don't need any hot spot activated. Just activate wallet and set up your card and everything at home. When paying just open wallet, unlock it, and touch the tab to the paypass thing. No internet connection needed at the time of payment.
