Ok, I'm done with the Galaxy Nexus BS and have decided to pick up a Rezound. I do have one question and the normal readership might not be able to answer, but does the Rezound support NFC? I've read that compliant hardware can use NFC on a chip(SD Card) vs having the tech built into the device directly. This is quite honestly the feature I was most looking forward to in the Galaxy Nexus and hope that it can still find it's way into the Rezound. Thanks in advance.

The Rezound does not support NFC.

Honestly, I'm skeptical about using a credit card these days, so NFC won't matter to me as I won't be using it.

There is a chance that would work but I'm just assuming and could be wrong. If NFC is that important to you (which it is for me) I would wait a few weeks for the GN.

According to everything I have seen there is no reason that you wouldn't be able to swap the MircroSD for one that enables NFC.

Personally I don't and will never trust it.

I actually came to the same conclusion. AmazonWireless has the Rezound for $0.01. This is a huge savings. I think the Rezound's screen should look a bit sharper since it has a smaller screen. Beats is a nice add-on. NFC on a SD Card would just be icing on the cake. Also, once the Rezound gets ICS support, NFC is one of the few advantages the Galaxy Nexus will really have on the Rezound (the other being quick OS updates).

I think NFC on an SD Card will probably work at some point. Google has everything to gain by having Android support this for non-NFC phones. I imagine they see Google Wallet being a cash cow and a quick upgrade to NFC would be a real bonus for them. The real issue is when will Android support it. I would imagine Google will add it to future updates of Gingerbread and ICS if the support isn't already there.

With Credit card fruad so large now. With NFC remote readers out there (which could be fake dont know) I do not want my phone to have the ability to pay a bill. In my opinion pulling out the ole credit card should be a step that every person should have to do. (soapbox) So many freakin people are in so much credit card debt because it's so easy to swipe the card. Now they are going to attempt to make it easier. OH great enable the shopaholic.(/soapbox)

While I partially agree with you...as a victim of credit card fraud I would welcome a way to lock it down(password/PIN) rather than just knowing a sequence of 16 numbers. I feel that Google Wallet with NFC support, granted that it's password/PIN protected will help secure the CC process.

contacted another company that came out with the idea first... called in2pay... see if they get back to me.. id like to purchase one so i have the option when the rezound gets ics... then ill just take the google wallet apk and boom, rezound is awesome. :)
