NFL app for Verizon, issues connecting to NFL network

Greetings! I have Droid X and I'm having issues with the NFL App. I'm able to watch old video, but I'm not able to watch any of the streaming live video, such as the pre-season games and even the NFL total access that is supposedly available now. The verizon logo just keeps circling for a while and then it says it can't connect to the NFL network.

I'm on wifi, plugged into a wall charger and still no go. I've uninstalled it and re-installed it many times and still, I appear to have a connection issue. Any tips or ideas? Thank you.

when open the NFL app, it updates it self and has current information, I just can't get into the live streaming video. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I'm on Maui. When I head back to the mainland for a wedding, I'll try it again, who knows maybe there's a blackout restriction on the rock.
