NFS Shift working on Optimus S?

Just purchased the game in the market, but it just crashes on my Optimus without any notice. Has anybody been able to run in on theirs?

ours has better hardware than, say htc hero but it's still not powerful
enough for games meant for hi-end devices

Those that try to run it, it would also help of you posted that you had the JIT / Hardware acceleration enabled from roms / kernels / etc.

Why wouldn't it work isn't it the same gpu on the nexus ?

It works just fine on my optimus s with ThundeROM v1.4 and stagefright. Tried it with the stock buildprop and it works as well, but it gets a little jerky at times.
