No 3G/4G connection... What gives?

Hello everyone. I was using my WiFi connection at home today as I usually do and when I get to my friend's house I notice that I am not getting my emails or anything as I normally do and that I have no data connection. I toggle back on LTE (since I usually leave it off) and then back on and off again for data completely. I can't connect to 3G/4G or anything, just WiFi.

Why did this happen? I have not flashed anything new since the day I rooted (running Virus ROM since then and all was working well minus the day that 4G was out). I really need this fixed as my work emails and everything come in through here.

have you tried rebooting? sometimes my 3g connection wont work either and after i restart the phone it works.

Yes, I rebooted several times and also pulled the battery and reset SIM.

Try going back to the "CDMA Only" setting. This will only give you 1x data, but at least you will (maybe) be able to get something.

Ok when I try CDMA I do get 1x. Why not 4G/3G?

Try checking this... Menu + settings + wieless networks and make sure mobile networks has a green check in the box.

Already tried this. It is checked.

When I check for software updates in settings the 3G signal came on. I then switched it to LTE only and checked for update and the 4G(LTE) symbol came on. It stays on for a while, but then disappears again.

Also, while it was and checking for an update it returns the message "SERVICE UNAVAILABLE. Check for Software Update under Settings when service is available." While the symbol is on the up arrow is engaged or on, but the down arrow stays grey and not engaged or on. Then it goes back and disappears after a while. What is going on? It was working fine up until Thursday afternoon! BTW I live in Orlando.

the only thing i can think of is take it to an official verizon store and have them troubleshoot it.
