No Amazon Prime TV on fire stick - error code 5505

[Android Central Question]

I have an Amazon Fire stick which was originally registered in the UK automatically by amazon.co.uk. I have moved to Spain and re-registered on amazon.es. I am able to watch Amazon Prime TV content on my phone, PC etc but it will not play back on Fire Stick, I have checked my country of registration etc and all appears to be correct but it's almost useless to me at the moment please help?! I had a 40 minute phone conversation with a customer services assistant but am no further on.

The error message 5505 is about the country of residence but I believe I have addressed this. HELP???!!

I am having the exact same problem. I can watch Prime on PC, phone, smart tv but not firestick. Keep getting error code 5505 AMD my country is set to Australia. Has anyone solved this problem?

Had the same problem. I deregistered the fire stick and registered again to my account using the fire stick. Problem solved.
