No audio through aux

My Note 8 has decided to stop playing audio through the aux cable when I connect it to my cars. I have a 07 Civic and a 12 CRV. I have tried 4 different cables. I have used the same cables to headphones, and it works fine it used to work, just one day changed it's mind. I've tried several different apps, same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do wired headphones still work normally? If not, then the problem is likely with the phone's headphone jack.

How about the car's Aux jack -- did you see if it might have some debris stuck inside? Use a can of compressed air to blow it out, and a toothpick to root around in there.

Since wired headphones work and you have tried several cables sounds like it might be the car radio.

Have you tried using any other device to send audio to the car's Aux jack?
