Have a look in your Bluetooth settings for "discoverable". Sometimes that needs to be turned on in order for other devices to see you. I'm positive there is nothing wrong with your new phone so don't worry about that.
Some phones also need the Bluetooth settings to be open in order for other devices to see it. (I know it's silly)
