"no card"

Just bought a huawei Raven recently. Was on line when I received arestricted phone call, caused phone to glitch. Now says "no card" in upper left corner. What does it mean and how do I correct it?

Where are you located? Who is your carrier?

The only suggestion I have is to power off the phone, remove and re-seat the SIM card, then power the phone back on.
