That should make no difference. Did you do a full wipe before flashing HydroROM?

What ROM were you on previously?

Are you 100% sure you are on ZVH?

Typically, the only reason for no service is mismatching radio.

I was on the Stock ROM previously, and yeah I followed all the instructions perfectly. And I forgot to wipe Davlik cache; could that have something to do with it?

No, but I suggest

boot into recovery,

wipe data, cache, boot, system, dalvik cache

if using xionia, flash debug-format system.zip

if using cwmt, use the wipe system/cache option.

flash hydrorom

if you were on STOCK ZVH previously and had service, this should get you a working hydro rom with service.

if that doesnt work, we will go from there

Also, double check that Airplane mode is not enabled.

What custom recovery are you currently using? Xionia is tried and true.
