I've been using the Galaxy Tab 10.1 for about a week now, and I am finding it hard to understand why the tech community still believes there is no competition to the iPad 2. I love the Honeycomb UI. People say Android is confusing, but I find myself thinking a few seconds before I do anything on iOS. While it is pretty and obviously a solid OS, it just doesnt seem intuitive to me. The apps situation is a glaring shortcoming, but I think there are a decent number of core apps. Meaning apps that will be used on a daily basis. No Facebook application, at least not one that I could find, honestly though I use the browser and have full Facebook functionality. The game catalog is getting better all the time. And I assume Ice Cream Sandwich will address those lack of apps concerns. Almost everyone is in agreement that this is probably the best hardware out right now and I think Ice Cream sandwich is gonna really show and prove. That is when the battle lines will be truly be drawn...

I prefer Honeycomb over iOS. I rarely use my iPad and iPod touch.
I'm using the Facebook app. It's not optimized for the tablet, but it works well.

Agreed on Friend Me! It's a lot better with the recent update, still not perfect, but really really good.

I agree. I noticed the Tab 10.1 16 GB is the #1 selling tablet on Amazon.com and the Tab 10.1 32 GB is in second place. The 3-5 spots are also occupied by Android tablets and the iPad2 is #6. I don't know if you can use the bestseller list from Amazon as a benchmark, but it is definitely interesting to see what positions these tablets occupy.

I bought the 32 gig tab. Im kinda on the fence about it, I get tone of lag, especially in the browser, my Dinc is way faster when connected to the same wifi. The Samsung keyboard is just terrible with lag, I type the sentence then wait and watch it appear letter by letter on the screen
I think Im going to return it to bestbuy on Sunday for the Toshiba thrive, I have a feeling Toshiba's tablet will be pretty sweet with all those ports (sd card, usb, full size hdmi etc).

Im glad you guys are happy with it.
