no data without 3g?

Seems like previous phones would get slow internet without being in 3g area. Now I get nothing or no signal message.

Also and maybe related... when I don't have 3g, if I reboot I get 3g back.

I go to 1x on my nexus often at home so it will go to slower data. Maybe there is nothing slower in your area or the prl wont let it.

Make sure under you Settings>Wireless & networks>Mobile Networks>
You have National data roaming selected...

Sprint may not always approve of this but it will help out in areas where your not getting a strong signal.

If they come back at you somewhere down the road about using so much roaming then too bad... Up your signal quality Sprint
