I'm not getting any of my emails from my regular comcast email account, nor is it able to send emails.

Did a test from the phone and it is just sitting there.

When I open the email, I get a notice at the bottom of the screen that says,

Connection problem (Comcast)

I don't use gmail at all or yahoo mail.

I looked in the settings and the account is still there, but there is one item that seems werid.
The box that says Sync over Wi-Fi only is checked.
Is this right?

Doesn't sound right... try unchecking that and then sync the account again.

OK, actually got through to verizon and the tech guy ( after reading something for about a half hour), came up with changing the incoming and outgoing ports.
As soon as I did that all my emails for the last 2 days came pouring in.
WOOHOO.

WOOHOO.

Details please!! Still nothing here

Menu> System settings> Accounts & sync> my comcast email account>account settings>comcast> then as you scroll down and see the Incoming settings and then the Outgoing settings.

The tech had me change the incoming port # to 995 and the outgoing port# to 465

Also he had me go into moble network settings and hit the Allow access for all trips.

It was set to Deny data roaming access.

I had this problem. I just went to manage apps and cleared the data and then was able to just set the account up again. Took 60 seconds.

I had the same problem with my Comcast account as well.
I removed the account then went back and added it again and now it works fine.
