Hi All,
I placed an order for the Nexus 4 on Jan 29th and received 1 email from Google advising that they will send me the shipping info and charge my account once the phone has been shipped out.
It's been 3 days now and still haven't received any other emails from Google regarding the shipping date.
Is anyone else experiencing this as well?

Yes. Same issue for me. This is BS to have paid them all this money and they can't even provide us info about our shipment. It's very likely it is being shipped right now and we won't even know about it. UPS will probably toss it on my steps and let the weather ruin it while I'm not here.

What time did you order it? But really it just means your phone hasn't shipped. Patience young one.

Not exactly. Some have reported not being emailed about it's shipment until it was already en route and very close. So I can see them screwing up and not emailing the tracking info at all too.

You'll get another email from Google when they ship it, which will be in less than two weeks, and much more likely to be around 2-4 days. They will send you a tracking number, but even in my case, I didn't get my tracking number until it was already on the truck for delivery to me.

Give it a few days, you'll get yours as soon as they work through the backlog, and have one to send you.

Drivers are explicitly told to either not leave something when the weather is poor, or to bag it (they have rain/weather bags they're supposed to put things in) if they can find a reasonably suitable place. You can always file a claim / complain in the event you haven't got the worlds best driver.

I recently had a package sent to my grandparents, with it clearly stated to be left at the back door under the porch, which was clearly visible for the driver to see. They left it in a spot that is never checked and hard to see for my grandparents. It got rained on for two days. Thankfully my dad packaged it so well, better than I've ever seen, that the package was okay. So my faith in these drivers is not very high at the moment.

You put too much faith into delivery drivers.

for anyone who says "they charged me now where is my phone???" unless you receive a shipping confirmation from Google, you have NOT been charged. Google placed a hold on your account to ensure that the money was available before they shipped the phone. I got my order to go through on the first day they were available and the phone shipped 3 days after that. The hold disappeared from my credit card and I wasn't actually billed until a few days after I got the phone. I know the feeling of having to wait for something awesome like the N4, but just relax. If your order went through this time I'm pretty sure that you're going to get a phone within the next two weeks. Be patient. /end rant

Count me in this group. They haven't charged my credit card yet, so I'm going to assume they haven't processed the order yet.
