No external storage problem

I am using Nexus 4. Whenever is see the storage option in the settings and return to my gallery I see "No External Storage" message.
All my contents are in the gallery but can't access them.
It needs a reboot everytime
Any other way to solve it??

Hmm, I was getting this on my n7 but it hasn't happened on my n4 yet. Clearing the cache for gallery seems to cause the "no external storage" error with the n7. Force closing gallery in settings and restarting the app works for the n7..might work on the n4 too. It's a bit easier than a full reboot.
