no headphone jack might not be so bad.

It won't be an issue for me. I use bluetooth at work & in my truck. I never plug in headphones.

I'll wait for a (hopefully) black version of the dongle and then I will buy another. One should be enough for a while, as long as I don't lose it.

I use Airpods on my S7 and they work like a dream. I love them and as long as they work on the Pixel just as good, then I will be happy. I have some nicer Bose bluetooth headphones but I don't use those near as much.

No headphones jack doesn't bother me. Been using Bluetooth headphones for years now. So much easier when I go running, or walking my 2 dogs.

After having a broken headphone jack on my 6P for almost two years, I've gotten used to Bluetooth ear buds, so the lack of the jack doesn't bother me.

The included dongle sounds damn good. Better than the last pixel.

Good to hear the sound is better than previous Pixel. I'm using an iPhone 8 at the moment with the dongle. It's not as bad as I thought. I just keep the dongle attached to the headphones all the time. The iPhone 8 has very good sound, so I hope the Pixel 2 is close in that regard.

I really don't have a problem with not having a head for Jack since I use Bluetooth most of the time. But my wife likes to listen to music at night when she sleeps and she uses headphones so it doesn't bother me... now I'm trying to figure out what to do with that because she needs to be able to charge and use headphones at the same time. Bluetooth headphones just don't have the battery life to go all night sleeping and they're typically not that comfortable laying on them like buds are. I'm looking into those wireless sleep headphones that are in like a bandana, but even those say only 6 hours of listening time. I'm also trying to find a inexpensive headphone / power Y adapter... the one for sale on Google's website is is over $40 and that price is just unacceptable in my opinion. I will not pay over $20 for an adapter like that.

I don't know anything about that specific product... But something similar is all you need.

This might be a dumb question, but is the recent Bluetooth hack that was in the news a few weeks ago going to be an issue in a world with no headphone jacks? I realize that that particular hack was taken care of in recent security updates, but can it potentially be tweaked and used again?
