I just read Motorola's update list for there products. Razr and maxx still in evaluation mode no time table. But if you have the foreign razr they are schedule for ics in 2nd quarter. https://forums.motorola.com/pages/00add97d6c

I have the MAXX because I wanted a working phone, if ICS was that important I'd be using my Galaxy Nexus. I don't really care when or if the MAXX gets ICS as long as Android 2.x.x is working correctly.

I know others are looking forward to it though...

No rush here... Very happy with the phone as is. But maybe I don't know what I am missing! (ignorance is bliss)

Ditto. Happy with the phone and its stability. ICS will come when the phone and the OS are ready. That in itself is a good thing.

My Maxx is working so well right now as it is that i really don't care about ICS or what little differences it will bring that I could even use.

I like the MAXX perfectly fine just the way it is. I have ICS on my transformer tablet and while it is nice it is not so much nicer that I would let it influence what phone I use.

It will come when it's ready... this reminds me a lot of the Thunderbolt, which came with Froyo and everyone was screaming for Gingerbread. I'm very happy for what this phone has on it... ICS will come when it's ready!!!

I had a g nex..and overall I really like ics. Like a previous post said...it wasn't so much nicer that it made me keep the g nex. Ics alone wasn't enough to sway me.

And I have never got a phone based on when it will get os updates. I get phones based on what it offers me now. For some ppl that was the g nex with ics. For me it was the razr and better phone and data reception.

The best part of ice cream sandwich is the ongoing voice recognition that is baked into the operating system. You can continuously dictate and the phone will continuously transcribe what you are saying. It will also offer alternative transcription options for the words that it is less confident about.

For me, that is far and away the most distinguishing feature of ice cream sandwich. And I would love to have that on my razor.

Yeah, saw on Droid-life earlier. I'm in no hurry for ics, although I may be the minority. Its pleasing to the eyes I guess, but the novelty wears off. I'm so use to the long press actions with Android, bit different with ics. As long as it runs smooth I guess will be ok, but wouldn't be a deal breaker on any phone/device.

I actually am perfectly fine with my MAXX as is. I had the GNEX and ICS is cool, but I actually prefer the way my MAXX is operating right now.

Agreed, my Maxx is running super well and i'm in no hurry to mix that up. From what I've seen about ICS I'm not all that excited anyway. It'll get here sooner or later no doubt.
