No internet connection

The other day I tried to get an Uber outside of my condo building, something I do quite often. This time, it said cannot connect to the internet. My wifi was on. I waited and tried again, but it didn't help. I had to change my plans. I haven't tried again so I don't know if this was a one time incident or I need to do something to my Samsung Galaxy S21 phone. Thanks.

The router may be out of range outside. Did you try using mobile data?

I use the location frequently. It always picks up outside WiFi. I'm in a big city if that matters. I didn't try using mobile data. How do I do that?

You could turn off WiFi. In that case the device would use mobile data.

I have no idea. I also tried Lyft and Curb and the same thing happened. I'm hoping it will be okay when I try again.
