No internet & hissing in speaker phone... Had the phone for an hour now

I'm about to revert back to my droid incredible, I tried resetting the sim, factory reset, battery pull and everything possible but I can't get the internet working! Also whenever I make a call even on the lowest setting there's a hissing noise

any tips?

Honestly... I bet it is the hardware... I'd be at the store first thing in the morning getting another NEW one, not refurbed... :) good luck...

I got the internet working now after the 5th reset however I still have hissing and light leakage on the bottom keys. Is there a chance of getting a better phone or should I just keep this one?

I would return it to the store and get a replacement as it really sounds like you have a defective phone. I have none of those problems. My only problem is the external speaker is almost inaudible on some things. Take it back. :)

Good Morning Crspy,

I just returned my phone due to hissing sound, echo in speakers, low music, ringtone, and light leakage, was dealing with the light leakage but the other problems were ridiculous because I could not hear the phone unless I was right up on it. I was glad that I was still within Best Buy 30 day return policy, they honored it and gave ne a brand new one, this phone is amazing flawless none of those problems speakers volume very loud even if turned down. Hope this helps and Good Luck:)

Thank you for the feedback everyone! I will be going to the store to get my replacement today!

The light leakage is normal and is nothing to be concerned about. Also, the hissing noise is normal and results from the phone settings. There was a hidden menu that settles this but I don't remember how to enter it. Let me try and find the thread for you.

Edit: Found it! Go to this link and follow the instructions in the first link. It fixes the hissing issue you're speaking of. I think some people may have a different hissing noise if it was fixed with a new device but the noise most of us are having is across every Thunderbolt.

Edit #2: I feel like such an idiot for not posting the link.

Looks like the hissing was on the two demo units at the store as well. I'm gonna return this phone since the LTE doesn't work (keeps dropping in and out of 4g) and the 3g keeps disappearing and they won't replace the phone.

I'll be waiting for the Incredible 2 or Charge

Hi Eclipse. I don't see a link in your message above where you mention "this link". Could you edit it to add it? I'll send this note in a PM too just in case you don't see this.
