I have only had my Galaxy S4 for a couple of months. When I first brought the phone home I was able to connect to my Wi Fi. Now it will not connect at all. Other devices in my home are connected with no problem. I have gone to my local Verizon Store and they were able to connect to Wi Fi and gave me the advice to remove the battery for 5 seconds and then replace the battery. I have even tried to re-install my home network to no avail. Please advise what the issue may be and if I should just exchange the phone.

Thanks,
Jennifer

reboot the wifi router as well as everything else.

That plus your cable or DSL modem. Start from the outside in. Power cycle your modem first. Give it a couple minutes to POST and connect, then do the same for your WiFi router if it's a separate device. Finally do the same on your S4. If you're still unable to connect I would look at the encryption you're using on the WiFi.

I had a similar issue with my S4 just as it was starting to crap out on me (killed SD cards too). Before the big crash happened, I traded it in for the more powerful LG G2 since the S4 was still worth quite a bit as a trade in.

I couldn't be happier with the switch.

Nice. I personally prefer the Note 3.

But OP as others said try the router and modem first.. Could be having issues.

I too tried the router route of troubleshooting, it wasn't the issue.
