No longer get any LED notifications on S8+?

They just randomly stopped working.
I don't get any for SMS, missed calls ro anything else for that matter.

Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting your device? Are you using the messaging app that came with your phone?

I read that there is an issue when you set a notification setting to silent. When that is done the notification light can stop working
I read you need to download a sound clip that literally is no noise on it/is silent and set that as the notification sound for those apps you want no sound on. Not sure if this will help you but worth a try if you do have any app set to silent.

What do you mean by "resetting"? As in factory reset?
Iam using stock SMS but I am not getting ANY led notifications anymore...

If you have not set the notification sound to any app to silent then your problem is different then the ones I have read about. But for me in never want a sound for my Gmail app so i set the sound to silent within the gmail app. When you get tons of emails a day, it is annoying to constantly get a notification sound, so that is why I would set it to silent.

The issue is that setting a notification to silent will result in the LED not flashing for alerts. It's an Android Nougat bug. Setting the notification sound to any sound other than silent will allow the LED to blink. So if you want no actual alert sound but you still want the LED to flash, the work around is to download a notification sound that is literally a 1 second .mp3 of silence, set the notification to play the silent ringtone, and the LED will work. I can confim it works.

Thanks Adam but most of my notifications have sounds associated with them.

No. My post is on a per app basis. Perhaps it's something else.

I'm only interested in the led indicator for charging and battery status. I notice sometimes it doesn't blink red to indicate that it's charging when I put it on my wireless charger. I'm giving LED Blinker Lite a try to see if it can bridge the gap when the system LED function fails.

Am having the same issue. Mine randomly stopped working. I never used any LED management software.

When I use the #*0#* code to test the LED indicator it also is not working. Does anyone manage to fix this?
