No love from Samsung - no phone replacement for me.

I don't know if anyone else has had this issue. I got my Infuse in August. I was looking forward to listening to podcasts and music through the headphone jack to audio input on my car stereo. Well it worked for a few weeks then starting cutting out and finally nothing. I tried swapping out cables but no dice. I checked it with my wifes Iphone and my mp3 and it worked fine so it didn't seem to be a car stereo or cable issue. Weird thing was my headphones continued to work just fine...

I called Samsung last week and they said it may be a compatability issue. Unfortunately Samsung does not make a cable so the help desk told me to visit an ATT store and they could assist.

The ATT store looked at the phone and said this was a warranty isse and they gave me the 800 warranty number.

I just got off the phone with ATT, they could not figure it out so they got Samsung on the line. Samsung listened to my story and told me it was a compatability issue and they could not be of service. I asked why Apple and other MP3 devices worked fine and they had no answer. I told them I was dissatisfied and would post here. Regardless they will not replace my phone!

Any thoughts or suggestions?? and no my stereo does not have bluetooth. :'(

I would have AT&T test another Infuse in your car (they should be able to do this if you are at their store) and when it works get Samsung back on the phone and demand a replacement. I believe that the only way to prove to them that they are wrong is with another Infuse. If they care at all about customer service (both AT&T and Samsung) then they should have no problem trying out this "test". Good luck!

I agree. Or call them back and lie and tell them you tried it with a friend's infuse and it worked fine...

I do this all the time, shouldn't be an issue on a non-defective infuse.

Thanks everyone. My daughetr has an Infuse so i'll try it out with hers. Not sure why that didn't occur to me! Assuming everything works with her phone I'll call up Samsung and get a replacement.

There are AT&T replacement centers that would be easier to deal with to replace it for you. i used them all the time for pretty much all of my Blackberry's with the smallest issues.
