No memory!

155 megs, really!! Then that is filled with a bunch of sprint crap I don't want, need, use, and can't delete. Is this right, or is something wrong with my device that it's only showing that much memory? .15 gig is pathetic

Nothing wrong with your device, that's correct. Take a leap into the rooting, roms, and hacks section at the top of this page, and you will see other options on how to increase that. You must of course, root your device first

Yeah, the lack of storage space is my only serious complaint with this phone.

Rooting, loading a custom recovery and loading a custom ROM gave me about 50MB more free space then I had with stock.

There are other options you can do as well, like data2ext. My phone has 1Gb of internal storage and still have 830mb free.

My personal tech guy did the data2ext for me.
I have a 8GB, Class 10 SD card.

The current info from my phone is:
SD Card: Total Space 6.47 GB Available Space: 5.22GB
Internal Storage: Total Space 165MB Available Space 147MB

I obviously do not have any problems with available space and do not have alot of apps.
Does that look correct? Seems like alot.
Maybe I should rent out some of my extra space.

It doesn't appear that the data2ext is actually enabled on your phone. Your internal storage space is the same as running a custom Rom without the data2ext mod.

Yeah, I always forget about that. I've got enough space by loading a custom ROM so I haven't needed to look into that.

Thanks for the replys, I honestly couldn't believe that little memory. It simply makes no sense for a smart phone to be that hamstrung by something like that. Ill start poking around the root forums, but am not thrilled that I needed to risk bricking this thing just to make it functional

First, try the enable command in terminal. Whatever that returns will lead your next move...

Got the data2ext to work.
Current info:

SD Card Total Space: 6.47 GB
SD Card Available Space: 5.86 GB

Internal Storage Total Space: 0.94GB
Internal Storage Available Space: 836 MB

Internal Storage of 836 MB is much better than 165 MB.
