Greetings! Recently updated my Tab 2 7.0 with ICS 4.0.4 and noticed that AllShare doesn't boot up (it reads "application not installed"). Now in the newly updated Video Player interface, I select "Nearby devices" and that causes Video player to crash, no matter the settings in the tablet or my computer's Windows Media Player. Any ideas? Or are there better ways to stream from computer to tablet?

TIA for any and all advice!

hey greetings Im new here and i love android. Sorry for my english is my second language. Same here dude updated to 4.0.4 on my samsung tab 2 7.0 and allshare is gone. Now i have allshare play instead and it wont detect my samsung samrt tv. I hope they fix this issue. But mean while you could try this two apps that i think work better than allshare. iMediaShare Lite and the second one is Samsung TV Media just look it up on google play from your tablet. Hope this helps.

Appreciate the reply, clecus! I'll give those a try and report back. Not too excited about AllShare Play, to be honest.

you goes talking DLNA feature?

can you go to settings and click more there you will see Near by devices. I almost pulled out my hair out of my as- figuring it out but the next morning i found it in the settings.

I go to Nearby Devices and it is grayed out. My wife also has a GT2 7 and hers is greyed out about 2/3 of the time she tries it. She received a kernel update a couple days ago (I didn't) and that didn't help. My son also has a GTB2 7 and his Nearby Devices is rarely grayed out and his DLNA server function works. We all have ICS 4.04. I haven't seen anything on the web about this problem. Comments?
