I happened to call TMobile yesterday to buy any Note 4s, new or old, but they no longer support and sell them, not even refurbished ones. If you want to do a warranty exchange, they'll give you the Note 5, but in 32gb, but as you all may know, Note 5s have no removable battery and SD card expansion.

Not really surprising, as it's coming up on it's 4th birthday and there are 2 newer generations of that device that trounce it just about every way. I prefer the materials and build construction of the 4 over the 5 and 8, but seems like most of the market wants glass phones.

The manufacturers do, because it keeps us out of the phones. The market wants thinner, lighter, larger phones, and the only ways to do that are things like batteries bent into weird shapes, phones that fall apart if you open them, etc. (And replacing shattered glass panels is high-profit - and as long as people keep phones in pickets, glass phones will shatter.)

You can still find some on eBay or other sites if you really want one. I currently have one of my T-Mobile sims in my Note 4 just to use at home because it has a flat screen unlike my Note 8.

I think the display still looks excellent, even compared to todays phones and the speed is still good enough for daily use.

Swappa currently has 9 of them on offer, ranging from $110 - $150 in "Fair" to "Good" condition.

But, yeah, given the age I'm not surprised that any carrier is done trying to carry them - it's probably not going to be possible to keep a reliable enough supply of ones in saleable condition any more.
