No network in second SIM but SIM identified

[Android Central Question]

My niece poured liquid on mobile Redmi 4.

After drying, inserted 2 sims:
SIM1: Vodafone - Working fine. Received SMS messages
SIM2: Jio - have issues. But work's fine in another cell.

Things I have checked:
1. Restarting the device
2. Changing the preferred network type - still ping fails
3. Stoping and starting the SIM

Sorry but have not been successful.

Any idea friends?

Welcome to Android Central! Does the Jio SIM work in SIM slot 1? If so, then SIM slot 2 is damaged.
