No Notifications while on a call?

Does your EVO not let you know you have received a text or (email or other update if using WiFi) when you're on a call?

Mine doesnt it and it annoys the hell out of me. I always end up missing something for a few minutes because I dont get an audio tone, just the icon.

It does there is an option in the settings for it. Very audible.

Ok here is what i found. It's not in the stock settings but if you download handcent messaging client its an option in there. Much better than the regular messaging client so two birds with one stone.

not sure if text audible alert comes through when on a call. i think it's visual only.

If you are using Handsent.
Go menu/settings/ then notification settings/ then notification settings again.

At the bottom thier is check boxes for Sound on call and vibrate on call.
Whice will play notification sound or vibrate while you are on a phone call.
