Not sure anyone noticed this, but our ZF6 Unlocked does not come with Samsung Messages installed. Samsung is completely going to go with Google Messages instead. Is this because Google enabled the RCS?

Samsung announced that they will no longer be preloading Samsung messages. They are switching to Google messages, imagine for the RCS

It's still installable from the Galaxy Store, though. And yes, Samsung is trying to encourage adoption of Google's carrier-agnostic RCS. The chat functions in Samsung Messages on carrier variants of Samsung phones were dependent on the carrier and only worked with other carrier phones on the same carrier. Not a good solution for unlocked phones, so my wife and I switched over to Google.

I've always used Google messages so I didn't even notice haha..

I use Google's messages for the rcs functions but for phone I use Samsung phone for the transcription AI features.
