Is it possible to replace passwords with a security code sent to your email address?
I am totally fed up with saved passwords that often turn out to be wrong and also with the process of renewing a password.

"RockYou2024" and other hacking apps prove beyond doubt that passwords are NOT secure. PLEASE, PLEASE replace them with something better.

I personally, and this is just an example of how I approached passwords, I keep my passwords in a note app on my phone. I have 3 notes in my app, one for everyday log-ins, email, WiFi, Hulu, one for financial things, banks, bills, credit cards, and one for work. They are nearly always correct, because I update the note if I have to make any changes. I can store the log-in, password, security question answers, and any other essential account info that might come up, so in that way it's better than just a password manager. The notes app is password and biometric protected so I really only need to remember one password/passcode. I also use both Google and Samsung's password offerings for the apps and pages where they recognize sign-in fields but I record everything in my notes, even the ones saved by Google and Samsung, just in case. This has cut down on making new passwords a lot for me.

2 Step authentication has also helped since many sites and apps text, call or email you as part of the authentication process.

I still feel a transmitted code valid for 5 minutes with biometric confirmation is the easiest option but do not know if there's any security issues. Have used several password generators but stick with Google passwords using the auto-generated option. No matter what, most saved passwords eventually fail.
