Android Central Question

Please tell me how to uninstall a software update on galaxy note 9. This is suppose to be the newest phone but with the update I received today, 02/07/2019, it has made it look outdated! The system apps look stupid and my home buttons also look stupid and doesn't have the option of clicking twice for full view of the screen. I now have three obnoxious lines at the bottom of my screen. Send help! Officially annoyed with the phone I've only had for 3 weeks.

Welcome to Android Central! The only way to roll back an update is to flash the previous firmware using Odin: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...w-flash-stock-rom-via-odin-new-interface.html. The phone will still prompt you to update the system afterwards, though, unless you root the phone and disable system updates (which also means you don't benefit from future security patches -- not advisable).

If you don't like how things look, then try a different theme or a different launcher (which will allow you to customize the icons and the homescreen layout). I recommend Nova Launcher.

If we do go back to the last update it will mean we wont be able to update anymore in the future at all?

If you disable the system updater after rooting the phone, then it won't automatically notify you of a new system update. If you know there's a new update available, I assume it'd be easy to re-enable the system updater (although I'm not sure if you'd also have to unroot the phone to update the system). But any update is just going to build on the current OneUI, and most of the things that people dislike about it aren't going to change.
