There are a few possibilities, but I suspect that the charging port (the thing you plug the charger into in the phone) is bad. The battery, after 3 days of not actually charging, is as dead as it was 3 days ago. The port would have to be replaced. (The part is cheap, usually under $10. The labor isn't. And please don't do it yourself - you'll cause damage that will cost a LOT more to fix than it costs to have someone replace the port.)
Or the entire ROM - Android, recovery and download - somehow got wiped, so there's no software in the phone. Hardware doesn't "do" anything but draw current and create a little heat - it's the software (the ROM in this case) - that makes it work.
(There are other possibilities - from the small explanation you gave us, that's about the best we can do here. You'll have to give the phone to someone who knows enough to figure out the problem.)
