no samsung account option

Hi all,

I want to log in to my samsung account from my Galaxytab 10.1v. to get updates(running Android 3.0.1 now), but under Settings/add account there is no Samsung account option. I got the tab from Germany and I the carrier is vodafone, (but I don't have a vodafone sim, just using wifi here in the US)

Questions: can I get the possibility to sign into a Samsung account if I root the device? Or is there any other way to get the upgrade?

I can't answer your questions, but my US GTAB 10.1 had the Samsung account option both before and after the Touchwiz update. In fact, there are some additional account options (Facebook, Twitter) that weren't there before the update.

Maybe worth the Touchwiz update?

I CAN'T UPDATE because I can't log into my samsung account because there is not the option to choose a samsung account to log in. That is my question I want to update.

Are you on Verizon? Theres no samsung app on yout tab if so.
